Thomas Scott
Chair
Thomas Scott is an Executive Director and the Global Chief Administrative Officer for the Technology and Data division at Morgan Stanley where he has worked for the past seventeen years. Prior to his time at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Scott was employed by Ernst & Young and Goldman Sachs. He holds a BS from the School of Management at Boston College with concentrations in finance and quantitative analysis. Mr. Scott lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.

James W. Kennedy
First Vice Chair
James Kennedy, Partner, Kennedy Berg LLP, is an accomplished trial lawyer who has litigated a wide range of disputes before many state and federal courts. Prior to co-founding Kennedy Berg LLP in May 2011, he was a member of Kennedy Johnson Gallagher LLC and a partner at Paul Hastings LLP. Mr. Kennedy graduated cum laude from St. John’s University School of Law in 1984. He is a former Law Secretary to the Honorable Bernard S. Meyer of the Court of Appeals of the State of New York.

Marcia L. Worthing
Second Vice Chair
Marcia Worthing currently serves on three not-for-profit boards: The Institute for Women’s Policy Research, The Institute for Global Ethics, and Gibney Dance. After spending most of her career at Avon Products and in executive coaching, Marcia changed direction in 2007 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. Marcia was Executive Vice President of Mullin Associates/Lincolnshire International from 1999 to 2007. Prior to joining Mullin, she spent twenty-seven years at Avon in Human Resources. Ms. Worthing co-authored the book, Escape the Mid-Career Doldrums: What to Do Next When You’re Bored, Burned Out, Retired, or Fired.

Lynn Gitlitz
Treasurer
Lynn Gitlitz has held senior marketing management positions with leading companies in the beauty, consumer packaged goods, and retail industries. Ms. Gitlitz combines creativity with analytical and managerial discipline – balancing entrepreneurial spirit and pragmatic, ROI-driven judgment. Ms. Gitlitz was the principle architect of Avon’s worldwide change initiative to become “the company that best understands and meets the needs of women.” A  longtime Gibney Dance board member, Ms. Gitlitz also serves on the board of the Institute for Women’s Policy research.  She holds an MBA in marketing from New York University and a BA in economics from Case Western Reserve University.

Katherine Wickham
Secretary
Katherine Wickham has spent the majority of her career in finance and development. She worked at Dean Witter InterCapital, an adviser to the Morgan Stanley family of proprietary mutual funds for individual investors. Ms. Wickham then transitioned to the nonprofit sector and worked at Phoenix House Foundation as Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving and later as Deputy Director of Development. She was the Senior Vice President in Development at Safe Horizon, a NYC-based organization dedicated to “moving victims of violence from crisis to confidence.” Since 2011, Katherine has worked as a fundraising and operations consultant to nonprofit organizations.

Lauren DiPaolo
Officer-at-Large
Lauren DiPaolo is a Vice President at Morgan Stanley, serving as Technology Risk Officer. She is also a representative on the Philanthropy Committee and has been a leader in the mentoring program since 2010. Previously, Ms. Dipaolo was a Vice President of Technology Regulatory Messaging at J.P. Morgan and a Chief Service Delivery Manager. Ms. DiPaolo has served as a member of the New York Junior League on the Spotlight on Performance Committee, as Playground Improvement Project Chair, and as Development Committee Vice Chair. Ms. DiPaolo holds a BA in economics and French from Connecticut College.

Gina Gibney
Founder, Artistic & Executive Director, Officer-at-Large
Gina Gibney launched Gibney Dance in 1991 to create and perform contemporary choreography that expresses the humanity and physicality of women and men and to reach communities in need. She serves on the Board of Directors of Danspace Project and Dance/NYC. She is a frequent panelist and speaker on topics of dance, entrepreneurship, and social action. Ms. Gibney holds an MFA in Dance from Case Western University.

Jane Grenier
Past Board Chair
Jane Grenier is a veteran of more than twenty-five years in the publishing industry and currently serves as Vice President, Marketing Innovations at Condé Nast Media Group. Jane’s tenure began as Vice President and Publisher of Flip.com, a forward-thinking social network designed for teen girls. Previously, Jane was Associate Publisher, Marketing for Teen Vogue, one of the most successful magazine launches in recent history. Previous Condé Nast posts include Gourmet, Vogue, and Details. Jane holds a MFA in acting from the Asolo Conservatory, a division of Florida State University. She and her husband, ceramicist Jean-Marie, live in Brooklyn and visit France whenever they can.

Martha Hirschman
Past Board Chair
Martha Hirschman is currently the Head of the Lower School at the Dwight School in New York City. Over the course of her career, Ms. Hirschman has worked in several independent schools in New York. She has served in a variety of roles on the Independent Schools Admission Association of Great New York and is currently on the board of Early Steps. In her role as Head of the Lower School, Ms Hirschman oversees the daily operations of the lower school division at Dwight, comprised of grades 1-5. Ms. Hirschman is also Chair of Admissions for nursery through grade twelve.

Anika Davis Pratt
Board Member
Anika Davis Pratt is a Diversity Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She engages stakeholders across the Bank in building an organization-wide culture of diversity and inclusion that spans workplace diversity, supplier diversity, and community education programming. Ms. Pratt is also the Bank’s project manager for the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion’s annual report to Congress. The Office of Minority and Women Inclusion was established in 2010 as part of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act to monitor and report on the organization’s progress on diversity initiatives.  Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Ms. Pratt was Assistant Dean of MBA Admissions & Financial Aid at the NYU Stern School of Business.  Prior to NYU, Ms. Pratt spent two years as a corporate recruiter for Ernst and Young’s Management Consulting Practice in New York, after a one-year internship in Production at the Juilliard School. Ms. Pratt received her AB degree from Harvard College in Psychology and Art History in 1993 and her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from NYU’s Steinhardt School in 1998.

Ralph A. DeCesare
Board Member
Ralph DeCesare is Vice-President and Director and head of research for TD Asset Management USA, headquartered in New York. Ralph earned an MBA in finance from Fordham University, and a B.S. in finance from the University of Arizona. Ralph is the President of the Fixed Income Analyst Society, Inc., a 250+ member non-profit professional organization that furthers the education and careers of its members, and is the sponsor of the FIASI Hall of Fame. Ralph is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. He is a CFA charterholder and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

Katie Glasner
Board Member
Katie Glasner sits on the Gibney board with at least forty years of experience in the dance field. As a performer, Ms. Glasner toured nationally and internationally with Twyla Tharp. Film credits include Hair, Amadeus, The Equalizer, Cocktail, Tattinger’s, and Voices. She has taught at Princeton Ballet School, Ballet Hispanico, American Music and Dramatic Academy, Princeton University, New York University, Penn State, Wesleyan College, and University of CA/Irvine. Currently Assistant Chair and Senior Associate of the Department of Dance at Barnard College, Katie teaches in both the studio and lecture hall and is committed to passing on the legacy of dance.

Juliette Han
Board Member
Juliette Han holds a PhD in Neuroscience, Division of Medical Studies from Harvard University, Medical School.  Ms. Han also holds an MS in Physiological Sciences from the University of California Los Angeles. Currently, she is an Associate at McKinsey & Co, where she is focused on new business development and growth strategy in the media, pharmaceutical, and healthcare services industries.

Rachel Norton
Board Member
Rachel Norton is Associate Director of Development at Lincoln Center Theater, following nine years at The Joyce Theater and a career in the contemporary art field. She was an intern at NYSCA under the guidance of Beverly D’Anne. In addition to nearly a decade on the GD Board, she has volunteered on the Advisory Boards of Bridgman/Packer Dance and MayDance and the Dance Committee of the 92nd Street Y. Ms. Norton graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College with a degree in art history. She has two daughters and currently lives in Manhattan with her husband and cats.

Sheila Wellington
Board Member
Sheila Wellington is Clinical Professor of Management at the NYU/Stern School of Business where she teaches a course she developed. She is the author of Be Your Own Mentor: Strategies from Top Women on the Secrets of Success. She is a board member of the Institute for Women’s Policy Research and The Transitions Network; serves as a Commissioner of the NYC Commission on Women’s Issues; and is a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wellesley College, Ms. Wellington earned concurrent master’s degrees in public health and urban studies from Yale University where she later served as Vice President and Secretary.
